Submit your SHOCK ART Design for Community Vote
Are you interested in applying to be a Shock Art artist in 2026?
Follow these steps:
After all submissions are submitted, the models will go on display (between April 20 and May 19) for the community to vote. The boxes with the most votes win the commission. Selected artists are compensated $2,000 for their time and materials. Up to 10 boxes are selected each year for a commission and painting happens in the summer and through the fall.
2026 is a historic anniversary year for both our state of Colorado (150 years) and our country (250 years). Alongside the open theme , we will commission at least one design inspired by the historic anniversaries . Artists may submit an artwork with one theme, but not both.
