Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Shipping Worker I to support our Operations team in Centerville. You will prepare incoming and outgoing shipments, build boxes and pallets, and assist with inventory, quality checks, and data entry to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires reading blueprints and using measuring tools, with forklift operations and hand-tool proficiency as part of daily duties. A team-focused attitude and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Demonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devices.
• Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instruction.

Responsibilities

• Building OSB and cardboard boxes.
• Build pallets with use of hand and power tools.
• Prep products for shipment
• Wrap cases and ensure proper instructions are included
• May load cases with forklift
• Clean cases and workstation as needed
• Take pictures of product
• Inventory control
• Quality inspection of parts
• Picking and packing items to ship
• Identify power and hand tools used on their assigned product line
• Read rulers, tape measures, metal squares, and other measuring instruments
• Fasten parts together with bolts, nails, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners
• Update computer systems with shipment information and may be responsible for basic data entry
• Work at different workstations as production needs require
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
• Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell
• Perform other duties as assigned
