Job summary

ITW Deltar Fasteners is seeking a Shipping Technician for our Frankfort, IL facility. You will receive purchased goods, ship finished products, and maintain accurate shipping records. The role requires forklift operation, order processing, and data entry familiarity with MS Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts and load/unload trucks.
• Process shipping/receiving orders and follow instructions.
• Operate Order Pickers and prepare shipments per customer specs.
• Prepare Bills of Lading and handle labeling and packaging.
• Perform data entry in CMI, Excel and Word.
• Assist with year-end inventory tagging.

Position Summary:

The Shipping Technician reports to the Shipping Manager and will be responsible to perform duties to receive purchased and incoming products and/or ship finished products to customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts, load and unload trucks as required

• Work and maintain shipping and/or receiving orders and instructions

• Operate Order Pickers

• Pull production product & prepare shipments per customer instructions, address labeling, scan & shrink wrap

• Data Entry: CMI, Excel and Word

• Preparing Bills of Lading

• Assist with year-end physical inventory and tagging

• Ability to wear fall harness protection and work at heights 16’ or less

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)

• Computer experience in Microsoft (Word and Excel)

• Ability to follow internal and customer instructions

• Proven communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment as well as ability to work with little or no supervision

• Ability to operate fork truck, hand, and power lift equipment

• Previous shipping and/or computer experience (preferred)

Compensation Information:

$20.54 per hour
