Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is hiring a Shipping Technician in Oldsmar, FL, to support the shipping department and ensure accurate order fulfillment. You will print labels, verify PO and invoice data, and prepare shipments with care and efficiency.

The role requires a detail-oriented mindset, data-entry accuracy, and the ability to work well in a team, with cross-training opportunities across related areas as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Detail-oriented with strong data entry and keyboard skills.
  • Willing to cross-train and move to other areas as needed.
  • Ability to manage time to meet daily deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and teamwork are important.

Responsibilities

  • Familiarize yourself with and apply procedures and instructions in the shipping department.
  • Support order flow to ensure timely delivery and meet shipping commitments.
  • Verify customer PO matches invoice and verify lot codes on cylinders.
  • Verify quantity of cylinders, regulators, cases and/or tubing.
  • Print and attach labels for each cylinder with attention to detail.
  • Verify UN number for each cylinder and apply appropriate label.
  • Ensure correct regulator with order and label accordingly.
  • Perform final inspection to maintain quality standards.
  • Box each order with designed boxes and labels.
  • Prepare shipping paperwork using FedEx/UPS or customer carrier.
  • Support the team to meet daily commitments and schedules.
  • Collaborate to maintain smooth workflow.

  • Flexibility to support the team in other areas as needed

Are you a MATCH?

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Using analytical and observation skills demonstrate the ability to set a course or direction, which fulfills the vision and expectations in maintaining the highest level of Quality in the industry.

  • Willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas as needed as well as all areas of quality assurance

  • Willing candidate will be DETAIL-ORIENTED and good at data entry with strong keyboard/computer skills and the ability to accurately and quickly type/copy information from paperwork into labeling or shipping software

  • Time-management and the ability to observe and follow the order-flow where needed is very important. We operate on a deadline everyday (the time the courier picks up the packages) so it is imperative that our employees have the ability to manage their time effectively to meet daily deadlines.

  • Positive attitude, the ability to troubleshoot problems, and working well with a team are very important.
