Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. seeks a Shipping Supervisor to ensure our shipping operation runs efficiently on the warehouse floor in a cold perishable and freezer environment. You will coach a team, monitor safety, quality and productivity, and coordinate outbound loads and loading accuracy.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong math skills, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. BJ’s offers weekly pay, flexible health plans, a 401(k) with match, and an Employee Stock

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college coursework preferred.
• 2 years related warehouse experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Experience operating Material Handling Equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse operations including selection, replenishment, loading, checking, shipping and safety in cold/perishable warehouse.
• Ensure outbound product is club ready, correctly temperature controlled and documented in WMS.
• Manage incident rate, enforce safety policies, conduct pre-shift meetings, and use MHE safely.
• Audit GMP, COOL, HACCP and other food-safety guidelines.
• Analyze daily/weekly reports to identify performance improvements.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training and performance reviews.

You will be active on the warehouse floor, walking the aisles and docks to coach your team and proactively address areas of opportunity. You will operate in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment, ensuring that safety and efficiency standards are not compromised.Key Responsibilities:Supervise warehouse operations including but not limited to selection, replenishment, loading, checking, shipping, and safety processes in a cold perishable and freezer warehouse environment.Ensure all outbound product (on dock and live loads in yard) is “club ready”, at proper product temperature, and results are documented in WMS ensuring quality of products is never compromisedEnsure trucks are loaded properly and safelyEnsure all pallets are tagged and recorded appropriatelyManage Incident Rate (OIR) and Lost Time Incident Rate (LTI) by monitoring sanitation, safe working conditions, ensuring safety policies are followed, holding pre-shift meetings and proper usage of material handling equipmentMonitor/audit daily for GMP, COOL, HAACP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and other food safety guidelinesAccount for any inventory losses/product shrinkReview and act based on daily and weekly APT and Utilization reports to ensure acceptable levels of performance are maintainedCollect/analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and solutionsParticipate in the hiring process to include interviews, selection, etc.Onboarding, retention, and training Conductsperformance reviews for team membersProvides input to manager regarding promotions and terminationsCrosstrain in all shipping team positions to stay current on duties, training and reaching minimum productivity levelsQualifications:High school diploma or GED.
