Job summary

Nassau Candy is hiring a Shipping Supervisor in Hicksville to oversee daily shipping operations and supervise warehouse personnel, ensuring accurate and timely fulfilment of orders, including domestic and international shipments.

The role supports the Operations Manager, helps implement procedures, prepares work schedules, and ensures safety and quality standards across the shipping function.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ supervision in a warehouse / distribution environment.
• Strong verbal, written and overall communication skills.
• Microsoft Office, Outlook and general computer / systems skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse personnel within the shipping and packaging areas; maintain workflow processes and promote team success
• Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely fulfilment and quality of all customer orders
• Assist Operations Manager by helping to implement work procedures; prepare work schedules and expedite workflow
• Responsible for loading and unloading received merchandise
• Maintain all work areas and equipment to meet facility standards
• Report on product and facility conditions to department supervisors
• Adhere to safety and quality control SOPs and participate in facilitating safety processes and practices
• Communicate status of operation in a timely manner to management including any safety and /or process issues
