Job summary

Koppers Inc. is seeking a supervisor to oversee day-to-day production activities with a primary emphasis on Safety, Health, and Environmental compliance and overall production performance.

The role requires completion of safety observations and addressing issues as they arise while guiding a team to meet production goals. The position also involves managing all shipments of material by rail and truck, and overseeing FIFO inventory, as well as maintaining housekeeping in supervised areas to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; BS in Wood Science or Business preferred.
• 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree would be considered.
• Relevant industrial supervisory experience; management experience in the timber industry preferred.
• Safety, health and environmental awareness
• Strong organizational, teamwork and communications skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products
• Prior union experience is preferred
