Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Carbide Manufacturing is seeking a Shipping Clerk to prepare orders for shipment, create paperwork, and coordinate shipping activities. The role includes labeling, packing, data entry, and ensuring accuracy of inbound and outbound materials in a fast-paced factory environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience with bills of lading, packing lists, and MS Excel, with strong attention to detail and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience creating bill of lading and packing lists.
• UPS WorldShip experience preferred.
• MS Excel skills preferred.
• Ability to read & follow verbal & written instructions.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly & stand for 100% of shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders for shipment and create associated paperwork (Bill of Lading, packing lists).
• Coordinate imports/exports and track shipments.
• Assist in assembly and labeling of packages.
• Enter transactions into computer system and maintain shipping records.
• Load trucks and generate shipping reports.
• Cross-train and back up co-workers as required.
