Job Description

The Shipping Specialist will work to ensure accurate and timely shipping of our new machines, intercompany orders and resolution of RMA’s. This role will focus on the safety and quality of our shipping and crating departments to ensure that our customers receive their correct orders on time, in excellent condition, and that orders are delivered correctly in our system.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Operations Supervisors, Sales, and Purchasing departments to ensure strict adherence to shipping all new equipment and intercompany orders on schedule.
  • Tracks and provides shipping and tracking information (Domestic and International) for new equipment and intercompany shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Tracks and coordinates resolution of RMA’s by working closely with customers, sales team, quality department, and AR.
  • Manages supply and ordering of lumber, crates, packing materials and office supplies for the Shipping Department
  • Provides support in managing drop shipment orders, aftermarket backlog, production orders and intercompany orders
  • Liaison between customers, supply chain, freight carriers, brokers, forwarders, and management
  • Work closely with Transportation Specialist, Warehouse Supervisor and Logistics Manager to organize and schedule shipping and crating
  • Assist Logistics Department with optimization of logistics and supply chain solutions to meet customer requirements and minimize cost and reduce lead times
  • Under supervision, assists in training and coordination of employees in safety, job functions, policies and procedures that are relevant to Logistics Department
  • Serves as backup to Transportation Specialist.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of manufacturing, warehousing, logistics or other relevant industrial experience
