Job summary

Calgon Carbon Corporation, a Kuraray company, is looking for a Shipping Specialist in Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on shipping service equipment and sales orders, coordinating transportation, and ensuring product availability and quality compliance.

The position uses SAP and collaborates with multiple teams to process orders efficiently. Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Associates degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of transportation experience preferred.
• 0-2 years of SAP experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure service equipment and sales orders are shipped properly using SAP and communications.
• Coordinate with production group supervisor and service equipment planner to ensure product availability and quality compliance.
• Arrange transportation of equipment and parts domestically and for export.
• Develop cost-effective transportation sources and resolve transportation problems.
• Produce sales orders and coordinate shipping of parts.

Hours of work: Mondays - Fridays, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 40 Hrs /Wk

The Shipping Specialist works with Materials Management Supervisor and Product Group Supervisor, service equipment planner, sales force, project management and other departments to ensure all equipment and sales orders are processed fully. This includes, inter-company transfers, SAP transactions, transportation arrangement, including export shipments Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

• Ensuring all service equipment and sales orders, both large and small are shipped properly using SAP and internal and external communications
• Works directly with production group supervisor and service equipment planner to ensure product availability and product quality compliance
• Arrangement of the transportation of equipment and parts both domestically and export
• Developing new cost effective sources of equipment transportation
• Solves transportation problems
• Producing sales orders and coordinating the shipping of parts
• Manages all fixed assets in production side of SAP
• Works with accounting to assign new FA # , abandonment of assets, responsible for cycle counts and audit support
• Resolves any FA issues for customer capital

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
• Associates degree (A.A.), or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred
• Driver’s License is required
  0-2 years of SAP experience is required
• 2-3 years of transportation experience is required
• Transportation of Large Equipment experience is preferred
