Job summary

Fisher Barton in Watertown, WI seeks a Shipping/Receiving Clerk on 1st shift to oversee shipping, packaging, and inventory control. The role emphasizes accurate handling, proper documentation, and timely order fulfillment to meet customer demand.

Responsibilities include preparing shipping docs for domestic and international shipments, palletizing products, and collaborating with Operations to maintain on-time delivery. Forklift experience and ERP skills are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with some post-high-school coursework in job related studies.
• One - Three years previous shipping/receiving experience.
• Ability to operate a stand-up/sit down forklift.
• Experience loading/unloading trucks.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to keep detailed records regarding processes and inventory.
• Ability to analyze situations, solve problems and meet production standards.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, Windows, ERP).
• Ability to work well with personnel from all levels and be a self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipment of all products and assist in packaging development and training of warehouse staff.
• Prepare shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments following requirements.
• Maintain transactional accuracy and palletize/pack product for shipment.
• Monitor customer orders and communicate with Operations to meet OTD targets.
• Operate forklift safely and load/unload trucks as needed.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts and periodic physical inventories.
• Support continuous improvement of department documentation and training resources.
• Collaborate with Production/Engineering on packaging methods and ergonomics.
