It does not include all aspects of the position such as the potential additional duties assigned by supervisors and the requirement for flexibility in helping others for the company's overall benefit.POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for performing a wide range of shipping and receiving processes including those involving receiving, picking, pulling and shipping of materials in a safe manner while verifying the receipt and accuracy of transactions for inventory control.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform accurate receipt of deliveries, both physically and systemicallyPerform accurate processing of shipments in the most cost effective and timely fashion availableSupport purchasing in processing item returns to suppliers as neededBuild crates as needed to ship finished units to customers per Marlen standardsSupport shop employees by fulfilling order request in a timely fashionPicks up product by monitoring production; loading and moving product.Stores product by designating storage areas; adjusting storage areas according to production and shipping requirements; updating location database.Prepares product for shipment by verifying location; directing movement to staging area; resolving problems.Controls warehouse inventory by coordinating movement of product from production to warehouse shipping.Verifies product inventory reports by comparing logs and reports, adjusting entries.Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records; maintaining databases.Monitors inventory by completing counts and physical inventory as required.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.Accomplishes distribution and organization mission by completing related results as needed.Participate in maintaining an orderly and safe working environmentContinuously improve warehouse operationsOther assigned dutiesPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:Have a high school diploma or GED equivalentHave two (2) years of related experienceOne (1) year forklift experience preferredDemonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs and other computer skillsExperience working with warehouse management systemsUnderstanding of overall materials flow and other functions linked to the warehouse activities and customer ordersKnowledge of inventory management conceptsPOSITION SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:Demonstrates strong organizational skills.Pays close attention to detail.Possesses basic math skills.Interact cooperatively and collaboratively with others as a team.Communicates clearly and effectively.Demonstrate eagerness, enthusiasm, and optimism for work activities.
