Job summary

Indium Corporation in Clinton, NY is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to oversee shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations, ensuring products are shipped per customer specs and materials are received accurately.

You will lead a small team, manage scheduling and training, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure compliance with domestic, international, and hazardous shipping rules while upholding our quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic data entry skills and basic knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Experience with domestic and international shipping regulations preferred.
• Hazardous material shipping regulations experience; HAZMAT certification preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to teach and mentor.
• Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
• Ability to develop an understanding of Indium Corporation products and services.
• Provide own transportation for local travel between Indium Corporation facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping, receiving, and warehouse functions daily.
• Manage staffing and workload to ensure timely completion.
• Supervise staff performance, training, and evaluations.
• Ship products according to customer specifications and company requirements.
• Ensure compliance with domestic and foreign shipping regulations.
• Maintain inventory and record accuracy via cycle counting.
• Complete documentation using computer software.
• Label and place warehouse materials correctly.
• Coordinate warehouse and shipping with other functions (production, sales, records control, purchasing).
• Create purchase requisitions within authority.
• Uphold certifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment and safety compliance.
• Keep shipping/warehouse area clean and orderly.
• Attend training as needed or assigned.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
