Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Shipping Receiving Supervisor to oversee the scheduling and coordination of trucks and drivers in line with customer requests and DOT regulations.

The role involves controlling department expenses, reviewing driver logs, and coordinating with sales and production to prevent issues and delays. You will negotiate carrier rates, set up loads with outside freight companies, and ensure proper loading, verification, and documentation across the shipping and receiving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience in a production or shipping role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise scheduling and coordination of trucks and drivers per customer requests and DOT rules.
• Coordinate loading/shipping orders with S/R staff and ensure proper carrier selection.
• Review driver logs and ensure DOT regulatory compliance.
• Audit freight bills and process claims for loss or damage.
• Prepare reports and maintain data in the company data system.
• Liaise with sales and production to resolve transportation issues.

Job SummaryThe Shipping Receiving Supervisor is responsible for supervising the scheduling and coordination of trucks and drivers according to customer requests and in compliance with DOT regulations and company rules. Control departmental expenses and generate solutions to issues as and before they arise.
