Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor for Alsip, IL, onsite. You will lead daily shipping/receiving, drive performance, coach a team, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety and 5S practices. SAP proficiency and 2+ years supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Shipping & Receiving operations in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience using SAP for shipping and warehouse management.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations.
• 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel to analyze and manipulate order and delivery data.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and track operational data, maintain daily management boards, and drive departmental performance through reporting, communication, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Lead daily shipping, receiving, packing, tagging, and export operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and on-time delivery performance that meets customer demand and company objectives.
• Manage receiving and inventory flow processes, including put-away completion within 24 hours, cycle count support, shortage resolution, and coordination of shipments between internal company locations.
• Direct and support material handlers in delivering materials to manufacturing cells while ensuring workflow priorities and production needs are consistently met.
• Coach, develop, and monitor employee performance through cross-training, skill development, project assignments, and ongoing team collaboration initiatives that strengthen operational capability.
• Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external customers by responding to operational inquiries, resolving equipment or parts-related issues, and ensuring clear communication across teams.
• Maintain adequate inventory of indirect shipping and packaging supplies to support uninterrupted warehouse and shipping operations.
• Champion a safe, clean, and organized work environment by enforcing safety protocols, PPE compliance, hazard reporting, and adherence to 5S principles.

We're looking for a dynamic Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to join our Ingersoll Rand Pump (IRP), MP Pump, and Oberdorfer Pump (MPOB) Business Unit in Alsip, IL – a high-impact leadership role at the center of our manufacturing operation. Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Shipping & Receiving operations with strong knowledge of warehouse, inventory, shipping, and receiving processes within an industrial manufacturing environment.


• 3+ years of experience using SAP for shipping and warehouse management functions.


• 2+ years of supervisory experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.


• 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel to analyze and manipulate order and delivery data.

Pay Range

The pay range for this role is $75,000-$90,000. The pay considers a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location.
