Job summary

Transcat is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our team in Massachusetts. The role involves verifying shipments against records, selecting appropriate shipping methods, coordinating with freight carriers, and ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.

You will also handle packing and unpacking, inspecting items, and communicating discrepancies. Qualified candidates will have at least a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading and orders.
• Determine shipping methods per policy and customer specs.
• Coordinate with Freight Company for large shipments.
• Affix shipping labels and identification on cartons.
• Unpack and inspect shipments; report damages and shortages.
