Job summary

ADDMAN Engineering in Glen Burnie, MD seeks a Driver – Shipping & Receiving to safely transport, inspect, pack, and dispatch materials, flexing daily between Shipping and Receiving to meet workload demands.

You will perform vehicle inspections, ensure proper packaging and labeling for export, log receipt and shipment in the ERP/WMS, and maintain ITAR/compliance records. A valid driver’s license and forklift ability are required; safety gear and 5S standards apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a forklift (certification provided if not current).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Basic computer proficiency (ERP/WMS data entry, email).
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work flexible schedule and flex between departments as needed.
• Prior shipping/receiving or warehouse experience.
• Experience with export documentation (bills of lading, commercial invoices, license usage).
• Current forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport materials between facilities, vendors, freight carriers, and customer sites.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections; report maintenance issues promptly.
• Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage or shifting in transit.
• Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Identify and flag discrepancies, damage, or non-conforming material.
• Log receipt of controlled/export-restricted items per ITAR handling procedures.
• Route materials to inspection, quarantine, or stocking locations.
• Update inventory/ERP system with receipt transactions.
• Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments per customer and contractual requirements.
• Ensure proper packaging/labeling to protect product integrity and comply with export marking.
• Cross-Functional / General – Flex daily between shipping and receiving duties based on priorities.
• Maintain accurate, auditable records to support ITAR compliance and traceability.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse/dock areas (5S standards).
• Support physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
