Job summary

Clorox is seeking a Shipping Receiving Operator in the PDC to transport raw materials and finished products, loading and unloading trucks while following established safety rules and procedures. The role requires meeting truck loading/unloading requirements and maintaining accurate inventories.

You will stockpile products, assist the Warehouse Systems Operator, keep areas safe, participate in safety initiatives, and strive to meet 98% loading accuracy after training.

Qualifications

  • Must demonstrate qualification in loading/unloading finished products on trucks.
  • Capability to move 200 pallets per 8 hour shift without damage after 30 days.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Train and qualify for Plant Fork Truck Operator license within two weeks.

Responsibilities

Your role at Clorox

Work in the PDC as a Shipping Receiving Operator in transporting raw material/finished product following established safety rules and procedures and with sufficient pace to satisfy truck loading / unloading requirements.

  • Stock piles product in warehouse following established stacking patterns.
  • Provides daily support to the Warehouse Systems Operator (WSO) in the department to include responsibility for conducting cyclic, monthly, and year-end physical inventories, loading/unloading, stockpiling, quality assurance for over, short, and damaged product on loads.
  • Keeps work area in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
  • Performs all aspects of work involving productivity, quality, cost requirements for the department.
  • Participates in safety activities such as Safety Field Team and Department team meetings to improve plant safety.
  • Identifies and corrects unsafe behaviors/conditions within work area or plant.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds business goals for the Distribution Center.
  • Ensures maintenance of a productive, harmonious, and positive work environment by promoting teamwork.
  • Shall be capable of working overtime and weekends.
What we look for
Loading / Unloading
  • If candidate does not have a Plant Fork Truck Operator license, he/she must train and qualify within two weeks
  • Must demonstrate satisfactory progress within one (1) month during the training/qualification period
  • Shall be capable of working overtime and weekends.
  • Must demonstrate qualification in loading/unloading finished products on trucks
  • Must demonstrate ability to correctly load (without an over, short, and damage) a minimum of 10 trailers per 8 hour shift after 45 days
  • Must demonstrate ability to correctly move/stage (without damage to product or pallet), in a safe manner, a minimum of 200 pallets per 8 hour shift after 30 days
  • Must demonstrate ability to correctly unload (without an over, short, or damage) a minimum of 10 trailers per 8 hour shift after 45 days.
  • Must achieve and maintain a loading accuracy rating of 98% consistently after 30 days.
Stockpiling / Picking
  • Must demonstrate qualification in moving and stockpiling finished products in Distribution Center
  • Must demonstrate ability to correctly case-pick customer orders, conduct accurate inventories, and verify production on a daily basis after 30 days.
  • Must demonstrate ability to correctly stockpile (without damage to product or pallet), in a safe manner 200-300 pallets per 8 hour shift after 30 days.
Other Duties
  • Participate in PDC team related functions as directed
  • Involved with Plant Journey Map and Department Action Plans.
  • Work with maintenance team during maintenance shut down

Starting Hourly Rate: $21.94 hour Hours: Day shift M-F
