Job summary

Arclin is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Operator to efficiently manage dock operations and ensure accurate, on-time handling of goods at our Albany, GA facility. You will read notices, verify shipments, schedule tasks, and coordinate with production, logistics, and maintenance teams to keep materials moving safely.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, safety-minded, and capable of prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment while following established procedures and quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Read shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules
• Check the accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
• Remain current on all schedules for all production lines
• Help to determine space requirements and position of shipment in and trucks
• Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or advises supervisor so that an outside service facility can make repairs
• Compiles records of unfilled orders
• Posts weight and shipping charges
• Prepares bills of lading
• Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
• Keeps walkways, plant entrances, and loading dock free from debris
• Works closely with shipping supervisor and accounting department in the coordination of inventory control management
• Helps to maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Attends all required safety training and works in a safe manner while performing duties of the job
