Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Danville, KY is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensure accurate inventory, and lead safety/compliance initiatives. You will manage staff, drive efficiency, and coordinate with procurement and operations to meet company goals.

The role requires 5–7 years in manufacturing shipping/materials, strong leadership, and knowledge of SAP; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required, preferably in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ manufacturing experience in shipping or materials management within a fast-paced environment
• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
• Experience with warehouse management systems, SAP and inventory software.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills; strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
• Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve productivity and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock counts, and coordinate with procurement and operations teams to manage stock levels.
• Ensure warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse operations, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
• Ensure proper maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
• Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory status, and staff productivity.
• Coordinate with logistics and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Assist in managing warehouse budgets, including labor, equipment, and supplies.
• Lead lean initiatives within warehouse operations by driving 5S, standard work, visual management, and waste reduction activities to improve safety, flow, and overall operational performance.
• Champion continuous improvement efforts by analyzing warehouse metrics, identifying process gaps, and implementing corrective actions to enhance productivity, inventory accuracy, and on-time shipment performance.

Position Summary

• APICS certification is a plus but not required

• Physical ability to oversee warehouse activities and operate equipment
