Job summary

Master Machining, Inc. is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Lead at our Castle Hayne, NC facility. The role reports to the Shipping Manager and drives daily shipping/receiving operations to ensure accurate handling of materials.

Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, verifying documentation, maintaining records, and guiding a team of shipping staff. Must be organized, dependable, and able to lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of shipping experience.
• Minimum 2 years of receiving experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing, machining, warehouse, or similar environment preferred.
• Lead or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes and documentation.
• Ability to read and verify purchase orders, packing slips, and related paperwork.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

• Prepare finished parts and materials for shipment to customers and vendors.
• Package, label, and prepare shipments per customer and carrier requirements.
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries with freight carriers as needed.
• Prioritize daily shipping and receiving needs to meet deadlines.
• Assist with organizing workflow and communicating department priorities.
• Maintain inventory locations and ensure safety in the department.
• Support with cross-department communication regarding shipments.

Pay: $20.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience

Master Machining is seeking an experienced and dependable Shipping & Receiving Lead to join our team at our Castle Hayne, NC facility.

This position will work directly under the Shipping Manager and serve as a key member of the Shipping and Receiving Department. The Shipping & Receiving Lead will assist with the day-to-day operations of the department, help coordinate shipping and receiving activities, and work alongside other employees to ensure incoming and outgoing materials are handled accurately and efficiently.

This is a hands-on position for someone with strong shipping and receiving experience who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to help keep the department running smoothly.

• Assist with resolving shipping and receiving discrepancies.
• Help ensure department procedures and company standards are followed.
• Step in to assist with department responsibilities when the Shipping Manager is unavailable.
• Perform additional shipping, receiving, packaging, and material-handling duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

• Forklift and material-handling experience preferred.
