Job summary

Lineage in Sandston, VA is hiring for a warehouse associate to support shipping/receiving and operate a High Reach Forklift. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (1st Shift), with benefits and on-the-job training.

You will verify inventory, move products with a forklift/pallet jack, and document counts using RF scanning. You’ll work in varied temperatures and contribute to a safe, efficient warehouse operation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to identify products by reading, interpreting, and scanning pallet IDs.
• Able to understand instructions in the country’s official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work in temperatures from -20°F/-25°C to 100°F/37°C with PPE as required.
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs; weight may vary by facility.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends if needed.
• Comfortable with varying noise levels in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow work orders to determine quantities and types of products to be shipped.
• Locate items within the warehouse and prepare them for shipment.
• Change over pallets for picking and visually inspect for damage or flaws.
• Document and report damages to supervision.
• Pack and label materials/pallets for shipping using RF scanning to verify counts.
• Notify leadership of issues and assist in corrective actions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at shift end.

Job description

In this role, you’ll support shipping and receiving operations while also operating a High Reach Forklift to help keep our warehouse running safely and efficiently.

Use forklift and pallet jack to move products on and off trucks while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. Verify inventory and visually inspect shipments for quality.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Read and follow computerized work orders to determine quantities and types of products to be shipped
• Determine the location of requested items in the warehouse
• Change over pallets for picking, visually inspect items for damages or flaws
• Document and report damages to supervisors or leads
• Pack, seal, and label materials/pallets for shipping using Radio Frequency (RF) scanning equipment to document and verify counts of picked items
• Alert appropriate leader of any issues with the product or materials and await directions to rectify the problem
• Help clean and organize the warehouse at the end of the shift

Minimum Requirements (knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

• Must be able to identify products through reading, interpreting, and scanning pallet identification numbers
• Ability to understand instructions in Country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud

Pay Range:$15.72 - $26.59
