Job summary

Glaz-Tech Industries is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Handler to join our Loading and Shipping department. You will handle, package and load/unload glass panes produced into dual pane windows, shower doors and other products.

We seek a responsible, adaptable worker who can manage deliveries, maintain records, and help maintain safety in our warehouse. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow into supervisory roles within a wholesale glass manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in receiving and inventory management.
• Knowledge of warehouse procedures and equipment.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Must be able to read a tape measure down to 1/8”.
• Able to stand for 8 hours per day.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all receiving and loading operations, scheduling deliveries, unloading/loading vehicles and maintaining route organization.
• Ensure that all incoming shipments are accurately and promptly processed.
• Monitor route efficiency with emphasis on load value, route length, and frequency.
• Supervise and train receiving and loading staff.
• Maintain accuracy of all receiving and shipping records, including inventory and stock levels.
• Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.
• Identify and resolve receiving, shipping, and inventory discrepancies.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and accurate operations.
• Oversight of vehicles maintaining proper documentation and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize receiving processes.

Summary

Requirements:

• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to safely lift 50-75 pounds
• Must be able to read a tape measure down to 1/8”
• Ability to physically stand for 8 hours per day
• Ability to complete simple computer task
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills and ability to communicate in English
