Job Summary:

Assists in warehouse functions consisting of order pulling, packaging, shipping, receiving and material handling.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Receives, unpacks, labels and issues materials to warehouse or designated location.
  • Inspection of incoming and outgoing goods for quality and damage.
  • Measures, weighs or counts materials and product.
  • Prepares and packs orders for shipment.
  • Stacks pallets of product for loading per shipping requirements.
  • Maintains the required clerical records.
  • Completes all necessary shipping and receiving paperwork.
  • Completes weekly cycle count.
  • Operates warehouse machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Maintains inventory of all packaging and shipping supplies.
  • Cleans, maintains and organizes work area and all equipment.
  • Back-up driver for SMC truck.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma / GED and at least 2 years of related experience.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work under pressure.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Forklift certified.
ADA Requirements:
  • Bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift or otherwise move frequently for extended periods
  • Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. frequently, or more occasionally
  • Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously
  • Exposure to machine shop physical hazards including chemicals which may require respiratory protection
  • Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
