Job summary

CJ Logistics Corporation is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to act as the main point of contact for drivers at the Welcome Center or Shipping/Receiving Office. You will verify shipments, maintain schedules, coordinate yard and dock activities, and ensure accurate documentation to support logistics operations.

The role focuses on customer service, inventory integrity, and adherence to safety protocols within a hybrid warehouse/office environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic math, reading, and record-keeping skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and sign drivers in and out of the facility, ensuring all paperwork is verified and completed.
• Assign dock doors to inbound and outbound loads, coordinating with yard spotters and warehouse teams.
• Process Bills of Lading and all shipping/receiving documentation, maintaining accurate records.
• Maintain real-time door and yard reports for trailer inventory.
• Maintain and update inbound and outbound shipment schedules using warehouse management systems.
• Coordinate yard movements and dock assignments to optimize flow.
• Reconcile inbound shipments with packing slips and coordinate drop lot activity.
• Provide responsive, high-quality customer service to internal and external customers.
• Communicate shipment issues or scheduling changes promptly to management, drivers, and warehouse teams.
• Report errors or issues to leadership to ensure process accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in required training to ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform duties safely, timely, and professionally.
