Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk III for our Lebanon, IN facility. This role oversees shipping processes, trains staff, and serves as a contact for international shipments.

Starting pay is $25.85/hr, with a first shift Mon–Fri 7am–3pm. Responsibilities include coordinating domestic and international shipments, order filling, and operating packaging and shipping equipment while maintaining accurate records and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a distribution center, warehouse or order filling environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Computer literacy and ability to use multiple systems.
• Strong attendance history and reliability.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipping requirements.
• Process orders, stock, and prepare materials for shipment.
• Operate packaging equipment and shipping/receiving equipment.
• Interact with carriers and third parties.
• Verify receipts against packing lists and schedules.
• Ensure accurate counts and labeling of materials for shipment.
• Label and tag materials and operate supporting machinery.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area.

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk III oversees the shipping process and provides training and support for the shipping department through verifying quantity, quality and labeling of products and merchandise ready for shipment. Also serves as a point of contact and expert for international shipping.

Position is located in Lebanon, IN - 475 S. Mt. Zion Road, Lebanon, IN 46052. Starting pay is $25.85/hr.

• 1st Shift: Mon - Fri 7am - 3pm

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate Domestic and International Shipping requirements
• Order filling, processing, storing/picking of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies
• Operating automated packaging equipment, paint line operation, shipping and receiving
• Multiple systems interaction
• Validate accuracy of receipts to supplier packing lists
• Identify expedited parts
• Prioritize receipts based on receiving schedules
• Resolve grief by working with accounts payable and material coordinators in supply chain on receiving discrepancies
• Interact with carriers
• Schedule outbound loads
• Coordinate with logistics and external carriers to set up expedited shipments
• Ensure accurate counts are recorded prior to any movements into or out of the finished goods inventory
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
• Operates electric hoist, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead cranes to assist in loading or moving materials and products
• Develops a culture that works to achieve and maintain an accident-free workplace
• Develops a culture that works to achieve and maintain ongoing housekeeping excellence

Required Qualifications

• Previous distribution center, warehouse and/or order filling experience
• Knowledge of parts systems, procedures, and operation
• Ability to work with minimal supervisor
• Computer literate
• Good attendance record
• Ability to maintain complete and accurate records
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Summary Pay Range:

$25.85 - $30.85
