Job summary

Benchmark, located in Winona, MN, seeks a shipping/receiving associate to unpack, record, and prepare items for shipment. You will handle packing, labeling, and potential forklift operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 2+ years in shipping/receiving, strong attention to detail, and good communication. Overtime and teamwork are part of the role, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Unpack incoming items, check goods against PO/invoices and maintain records.
• Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped; post weights and shipping charges.
• Count and pack products; check packaging lists for contents.
• May assemble boxes and special packs; apply labeling and closures.
• Operate forklift and assist training of entry-level employees.
• Process inputs for receipts and shipments in ERP system and maintain dock security.

Summary

Responsibilities

• Unpack incoming items, check goods received against purchase orders or invoices and maintain records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary
• Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped; Post weights and shipping charges and prepare goods for final shipment
• Count and pack various sized products in boxes, cartons or other containers; Check material against packing lists for inclusion of all component parts
• May assemble boxes and cartons and prepare special or non-standard packs
• Follow specific instructions for correct carton, wrapping and arrangement of parts and use of dunnage
• Apply correct label, stamp and/or other identification as directed and secure package with specified closure
• May assist in training entry-level employees
• May operate forklift
• Process inputs for receipts and shipments in ERP system
• Maintain dock security
• All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction.

Other information

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of shipping or receiving experience in materials/warehouse
• Must have strong component ID ability and be able to follow the approved vendor’s list (AVL) within our system

Compensation Range: $15.830000 to $19.780000 USD. Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
