Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Logistics a plus.
• Minimum 2+ years shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to travel to other company sites and customer sites.
• Well organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated.
• Professional and positive attitude in interactions with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders.
• Accurately and timely fulfill warehouse picklist orders.
• Move materials using pallet jacks, forklift, and other approved equipment.
• Provide basic assembly support when required.
• Communicate shipping status effectively with team members.
• Maintain relationships with carrier vendors and help resolve customer issues.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, shortages, or non-conformance.
• Participate in shipping and receiving meetings and initiatives.
• Represent the shipping and receiving department as needed.
• Travel as required.
• Participate in ISO training and audits.
• Perform any other assignments as deemed appropriate.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing documents, such as work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials.
• Accurate and timely fulfilling of warehouse picklist orders.
• Responsible for moving materials using approved equipment (pallet jacks, forklift, etc).
• Basic assembly support when required.
• Help to ensure effective communication of shipping status with all members of the team.
• Work with leadership to maintain relationships with carrier vendors and help to resolve customer issues.
• Inspection of incoming and outgoing shipments to rectify problems such as damage, shortages and non-conformance to specifications.
• Actively participate in shipping and receiving department staff meetings, discussions and initiatives.
• Represent the shipping and receiving department business-wide as necessary.
• Travel as required.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent work related experience, Associates degree in Logistics a plus.

Minimum 2+ years of experience working in shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment.

• Must be able to communicate clearly, articulately and professionally with customers, upper management and employees at all levels.
• Proficient level of skill in MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to prioritize work, and manage time completing multiple projects and tasks.
• Ability to initiate and monitor several simultaneous projects.
• Must have appropriate schedule flexibility, sense of urgency, motivation and versatility to make a substantial contribution to the organization’s success.
• Ability to interact positively and constructively while representing company in a professional manner.
• Willingness to work "above and beyond" in order to meet company goals.
• Ability to travel to other company sites as well as customer sites as required;
• Well organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
