Job summary

Binswanger Glass in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to prepare shipments, assemble containers, and record contents accurately for every order. You will pack goods, affix shipping instructions, and ensure items are ready for transport with attention to quality and safety standards.

Daily duties include loading and unloading from trucks, inspecting incoming goods against invoices, operating forklifts or hand trucks, and maintaining both manual and computerized records.

Responsibilities

• Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in a computer system, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
• Oversee and/or perform loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
• Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
• Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems
• Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
• Complete deliveries by loading/unloading at customer and supplier sites. Drive company truck (light) or van to customers. Need to be able to pull a trailer hitched to the back of the truck.
