Job summary

ISCO Industries, a Louisville, KY-based end-to-end piping solutions provider, is seeking a warehouse/shipping associate to safely load/unload products and support daily truck scheduling. You will collaborate with the Shipping Coordinator, stage orders for the next day, and lead yard staff to ensure accurate operations.

Responsibilities include using the TMS and ERP systems to optimize shipping and maintain inventory integrity, performing cycle counts, and proposing process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience or ability to be trained and certified.
• 3+ years of warehouse, shipping, and/or distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload products safely, accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with Shipping Coordinator to optimize daily truck schedule and verify pipe quantities.
• Pull and stage pipe orders for the next day to ensure readiness.
• Lead and supervise yard personnel to ensure timely and accurate loading/unloading.
• Determine best packing methods to protect products during transit.
• Use TMS to select shipping modes and carriers for shortest lead time and lowest cost.
• Use ERP system to maintain inventory accuracy and data integrity.
• Conduct daily cycle counts and investigate root causes of problems.
• Make recommendations to improve processes and work environment.

• Safely, accurately and efficiently load and unload of products
• Collaborate with the Shipping Coordinator to optimize the daily truck schedule and double check pipe piece count quantities.
• Pull and stage all pipe orders for the next day to ensure readiness.
• Lead and supervise yard personnel to ensure timely and accurate loading/unloading.
• Determines the best method of packing products to ensure adequate product protection during transit
• Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to select the best shipping mode and freight carrier to ensure products are delivered to customers with the shortest lead time and the lowest transportation cost
• Use the ERP system (Epicor-Prelude) to maintain inventory accuracy and data integrity
• Conduct daily cycle counts and investigating the root cause of problems
• Make recommendations to improve processes and work environment
• Lead and supervise yard personnel to ensure timely and accurate loading/unloading.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Forklift experience or able to be trained and certified to operate forklift
• 3+ years of Prior warehouse, shipping, and/or distribution experience preferred

Ability to:

• Clearly and effectively communicate via phone and email shipping related information to customers, vendors, and co-workers
• Organize and prioritize work orders to meet shipping
• Work independently with limited supervision; self-starter

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Constantly:
• Exerting 10 pounds of force to move objects
• Frequently:
• Exerting up to 75 pounds of force
• Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, and walking
