Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a forklift operator for our shipping/receiving team. The role requires standing/walking, operating forklifts and wrapping equipment, and balancing workload across warehouses. You will stack pallets, follow packing lists, and adhere to safety rules daily.

Starting with a 2pm–10pm shift, candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least six months forklift experience. U.S.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
• Operate wrapping equipment
• Select and stack order items on pallets according to the packing list
• Assist other shipping and receiving material handlers to balance the workload, organize warehouses, keep stock and materials orderly, and perform general cleaning.
• Follow rules and procedures related to the safe and efficient operation of the forklift.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 Months Experience Operating a Forklift.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds consistently.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Available to work 2nd shift 2pm-10pm

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the corrugated industry.

Compensation And Benefits

• Starting salary for position: $26.79 per hour plus $0.35 shift differential.
• Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: One week per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
• Paid Holidays.
