Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings in Sunflower, MS is seeking a Shipping Operator to identify, safely handle, and accurately store finished product and coordinate with the Shipping Supervisor to move items from production to yard and into the correct storage locations.

Forklift experience is preferred; candidates must follow safety rules, perform daily equipment inspections, and support loading, inventory counts, and timely shipments in an outdoor yard environment.

Qualifications

• There must be proficiency in all aspects of the job. Performance requires urgency and efficiency.
• A background check is mandatory.
• Employee must have a safe work record and follow safety procedures.
• Attendance requirements as per skill tests for promotion.
• Previous forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify every product that leaves production and transport it to the yard after inspection.
• Store products in the correct location and maintain inventory organization.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and preparation of shipments.
• Ensure shipments contain no damaged or sub-standard product.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks on equipment.
