Job summary

ZEISS in Kentucky invites applications for an entry-level Shipping Operator. Under supervision you will perform routine lens-manufacturing support duties, including delivering and collecting orders, obtaining signatures, and recording delivery information.

The role requires a HS diploma, a clean DMV record, and the ability to pass a drug screen. You should be able to lift 10 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a clean DMV record.
• All candidates will be required to pass a drug test.
• 0–2 years related experience.
• Reliable, honest, dependable and able to follow directions.
• Customer service mindset.
• Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to lift 10 pounds.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment with focus.
• Attention to detail and symmetry.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up orders from eyecare facilities.
• Obtain signatures and/or payments.
• Record information such as items received and delivered and recipients' responses to messages.
• Receive messages or materials to be delivered with recipient information via telephone, radio, or in person.
• Load vehicles with listed goods and ensure correct loading.
• May cross-train on new tasks within the department.
• Participate in meetings to enhance communication and efficiency.
• May train peers.
• Other tasks as needed.
