Job summary

Core Health & Fitness is hiring a Shipping Lead - Spare Parts to manage day-to-day shipping operations. You will lead the Picker, Pre-packer, QC-packer and shipper teams, ensure accurate packing, and communicate order status to customers by email, website, or phone.

The role requires 3–5 years in a fast-paced warehouse/shipping environment with leadership experience, and hands-on skills with MS Word, Excel and Oracle. A safe, clean work environment is prioritized.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in fast-paced warehouse/shipping/receiving operations preferred.
• At least 1 year in a lead role preferred.
• Completion of High School or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams across four stations: Picker, Pre-packer, QC-packer and shipper.
• Oversee order flow and daily work schedules.
• Communicate with customers on order status via email, website or phone.
• Troubleshoot shipping delays and quality issues.

Pulls, pre-packs, and checks parts, properly packs goods, seals, labels and affixes packing list to prepare shipments for shipping, by using work devices, such as hand tools and/or power tools, and carrier systems.Essential Functions / Major ResponsibilitiesManage department and order flow, to properly set the daily work schedule for all four stations: Picker, Pre-packer, QC-packer and shipper.Follow up with customers regarding order status either through email, website, or phone callTroubleshoot shipping issues causing delays in deliveriesDiagnose process and quality issues to achieve production goals and make improvement recommendations to their supervisorAssist the department supervisor with paperwork, record keeping, report generation, and reviews including document control, scanning daily picks, and data entry on master tracking sheetsEnsure accurate parts picked and quantities through QC process of the orders before being packed, final QC of all shipments.Manage and follow through on work orders, inventory transfers, and packing material replenishments to maintain proper inventory levels and to ensure daily shipment percentages are met.Responsible for the overall Shipping Departments cleanliness. All aisles must be free of parts and clean at the end of the day.Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by department supervisorSpecific Job RequirementsAbility to lead teams and delegate responsibilitiesApplies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.Normally follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.Be able to work multiple stations.Responsible for his/her own quality of workmanship.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Self-motivated reliable team player. Must be dependable, on time.English speaking preferred (speak and writing/reading)Ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to learn new skills and behaviors.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Ability to work mandatory overtime.Safety is everyones responsibility. Staff are expected to act in a safe manner at all times and ensure that those around them do not put themselves or others at risk.Education and Experience RequirementsMinimum of 3 -5 years experience in a fast paced, high-volume warehouse/shipping/receiving operation preferred. At least 1 year experience in a lead role preferred.Completion of High School or equivalentMust have experience, knowledge and/or exposure to computers, MSWord, Excel, and Outlook.
