Job summary

U.S. Lumber, an SBP Brand, is seeking a Second Shift Shipping Lead in Pittston to oversee daily outbound shipping, ensure accurate order fulfillment, and lead Shipping Coordinators. The role supports yard and warehouse operations and emphasizes safety, documentation accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Hours: Mon-Fri 3pm-11:30pm. Hourly rate: $21/hr. This is a working lead position with loading duties and opportunities for growth within Specialty Building Products.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations (building materials preferred).
• Prior leadership or lead experience required.
• Strong knowledge of BOLs, PODs, and shipping documentation.
• Experience operating forklifts and yard jockey equipment.
• Familiarity with DOT and ELD compliance preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Address issues with orders prior to leaving the yard and direct team to repull orders if necessary.
• Document any order issues and report them to Operations Manager.
• Ensure all trucks are loaded accurately and damage-free in a timely manner.
• Check all trucks when completed.
• This is a working lead position so truck loading will be part of daily responsibilities.
• Report any incidents or safety concerns to Operations Manager and enter incidents into Timber.
• Direct loading team to clean loading area after all loads are completed.
• Assign orders to be pulled for the next delivery once all loads are completed.

U.S. Lumber, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for a Second Shift Shipping Lead to join our VALUES based organization. The Shipping Lead oversees daily outbound shipping operations within a building materials distribution environment. This role ensures accurate order fulfillment, safe and efficient loading, and on-time delivery while leading Shipping Coordinators and supporting overall yard and warehouse operations. The Shipping Lead plays a key role in maintaining documentation accuracy, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Hours: Monday-Friday 3pm - 11:30pm

Hourly Rate - $21/hr
