Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division in Youngsville, NC is seeking a Shipping Lead, Raw Materials for 1st shift to supervise the shipping team and ensure on-time customer deliveries.

You will manage workflow, train staff, maintain inventory accuracy, and drive safety and continuous improvement. The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

The position pays $24 per hour and offers benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing.
• 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with WMS/ERP/RF scanning technologies.

The pay rate for this position is $24.00 per hour.

Core hours are 6:30am to 3:00pm.

What You’ll Do

Position Overview:

The Shipping Team Lead is responsible for coordinating workflow, leading a team of shipping associates, ensuring on-time customer deliveries, maintaining inventory accuracy, and promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrates strong problem‑solving skills, and is committed to operational excellence and employee development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily shipping operations to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
• Coordinate work assignments and staffing to meet productivity and service goals.
• Provide day‑to‑day direction, coaching, and training to shipping associates.
• Monitor workflow and adjust priorities to meet changing business demands.
• Ensure compliance with Eaton safety policies, quality standards, and operational procedures.
• Conduct regular safety observations and promote a culture of safe work practices.
• Partner with supervisors and other department leaders to resolve operational issues and improve processes.
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation and system transactions.
• Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, inventory issues, and customer service concerns.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, quality, on‑time shipping, and safety metrics.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or other operational excellence methodologies.
• Participate in employee performance discussions and recognition activities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 1 year of leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or RF scanning technology.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50-mile radius) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in a high-volume distribution center.
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Lean Distribution, or Continuous Improvement principles.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
