Job summary

XL Parts / The Parts House in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an Assistant Store Supervisor to expedite shipments and manage daily store operations. You will handle shipping/receiving, assembly of customer orders, inventory checks, and driver scheduling while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1–2 years in retail, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of retail experience is preferred.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Shipping and receiving of merchandise.
• Assemble and fill customer orders to be delivered within a 45-minute window.
• Manage inventory and perform cycle counts.
• Schedule contract drivers based on business needs.
• Answer customer questions and address complaints.
• Handle store opening and closing duties.
• Manage cash, cash counts, and deposits.
• Stock and pull parts; maintain store and front counter cleanliness.
• Answer phones and provide friendly customer service.
• Maintain clean warehouse and ensure a safe work environment.
