Job description

Job Title

Forklift Driver $19.24/hr

Sign on Bonus
  • $500 after 30 days, $500 after 1 year
  • $500 after 6 months, Additional lump sum after 2 years.

Hourly Full-Time (2nd Shift – Monday-Friday & some Saturdays) must be able to work any shift.

Responsibilities
  • 0.1: PIT Operator will load, store, transport, and/or deliver units of sheets, in-process materials, finished boxes, and miscellaneous items; generate and maintain accurate records; and maintain clean and orderly storage areas and aisles.
  • 0.2: Report to the shipping supervisor.
  • 1.1: Follow all safety rules and practices; report any unsafe issues to Supervisor immediately.
  • 1.2: Read factory work orders and various shipping and/or receiving papers to learn customer requirements and processing information.
  • 1.3: Monitor conveyor take off lines, remove units from the lines, and load units into trailers and/or place units in storage trailers or location.
  • 1.4: Check load tags and unit counts to verify that they are correct; ensure all load tags are scanned to proper location or trailer; ship all orders complete on same trailer.
  • 1.5: Inspect finished units during the loading process to ensure no handling damage, dunnage placed properly, and straps are intact.
  • 1.6: Accurately complete loading and compose reports to verify what is loaded on trailer; run IPOINT report at least 3 times per shift and sign off when printed; No loads over 30 minutes on report.
  • 1.7: Maintain well-organized paperwork and place it on Dispatch desk neatly.
  • 1.8: Generate accurate bills of lading and ensure trailer numbers match BOL; load to IP Juarez– BOL along with Proforma emailed for Aduanas.
  • 1.9: Deliver sheet and/or in-process units to production areas as required.
  • 1.10: Maintain clean and organized work areas, storage areas, aisles and PITs; sign off on log daily.
  • 1.11: Sweep and clean trailers to maintain cleanliness.
  • 1.12: Take and maintain accurate inventories, including bi‑weekly stock takes.
  • 1.13: Stretch wrap specified units.
  • 1.14: Perform receiving duties and put away all material received.
  • 1.15: Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
  • 1.16: Understand the importance of producing food‑safe packaging products; commit to maintaining food‑safe environment (operations, personnel, maintenance, cleaning).

  • Certified ability to safely operate a forklift/box clamp truck.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to accurately read a measuring tape; use basic shop math.
  • Ability to learn, follow instructions, scan all material picked up with PIT.
  • Work safely at all times; ask questions; work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Must meet job requirements with or without accommodation.
  • Shipping supervisor evaluates shipper qualifications.
