ASST in McSherrystown, PA seeks a Shipping & Delivery Driver to store, load, and deliver finished products safely and on time per the PM schedule. You will keep the data system current, secure loads, inspect trucks, and obtain signed delivery tickets.

Responsibilities include pallet building, securing loads, forklift operation, PPE compliance, and maintaining a clean, safe work area on site. Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs required, with standing for long periods.

Responsabilités

• Verify pallet contents, then band/strap and store pallets in the rack locations assigned in the data system.
• Keep the data system up to date with items being stored and delivered.
• Pull pallets per delivery ticket using the data system, stage them, and verify items against the delivery ticket before loading.
• Load ASST and dedicated trucks, using straps and blocking to secure pallets.
• Build crates around pallets for common carrier shipments, making sure all items are secure.
• Double check that every load is strapped correctly before leaving the dock.
• Inspect the truck daily before departure, including lights, tire pressure, and mirrors.
• Safely deliver products to the site/customer on time per the PM schedule.
• Verify items against the delivery ticket during unloading and obtain a signed delivery ticket.
• Give the signed delivery ticket to the Shipping Coordinator.
• Return the truck to its proper location refueled, maintained, and clean for the next delivery.
• Maintain forklift certification and a clean driving record.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Wear required PPE at all times.
• Lift at least 50 pounds independently.
• Stand for extended periods in a shop environment with noise and dust.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Role: The Shipping & Delivery Driver is responsible for accurately storing, loading, and delivering finished products safely and on time per the Project Manager's schedule. The Shipping & Delivery Driver must keep the data system up to date, secure every load to prevent damage in transit, and make sure every delivery is verified and signed for.
