Job Summary

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for maintaining productivity levels in line with plant goals while adhering to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics. This role involves verifying incoming shipments, entering transaction data into MACPAC, checking inventory levels, and ensuring proper handling of materials. The position requires effective communication with supervisors regarding shipment issues, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring efficient routing of materials to relevant departments.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Maintains productivity levels according to plant goals.
  • Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.
  • Compares identifying information/counts, weighs, or measures items incoming shipments verifying information against bill of lading, invoice, order, or other records.
  • Enters receipts and transactions into MACPAC.
  • Finds information about items and prints purchase orders in MACPAC.
  • Checks levels of specified materials for reorder.
  • Communicate closely with Supervisors on issues regarding shortages-damaged shipments.
  • Affixes labels and tags to inventories with information such as item numbers and M#s.
  • Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information onto crates or containers.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages.
  • Routes items to departments.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Proficient with PCs and software products such as Windows, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic understanding of the Internet and ability to use internet-based tools.
  • Ability to perform data entry efficiently and organize work to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read and use tape measure accurately.
  • Strong general computer skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), as well as email and internet software.
Education And Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
