Job summary

Image National Inc. is seeking a shipping clerk to prepare invoices, coordinate courier routes, and oversee inbound/outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery.

You will track packages, provide rate information, resolve inquiries, and maintain shipping records in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma and forklift certification are preferred.

Essential Job Duties:Prepare customer invoices based on their specific shipping requirements.Coordinate with courier companies to identify the most efficient shipping routes.Oversee both inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely transportation.Communicate with shippers to provide accurate rate information.Manage high volumes of packages while maintaining organization.Assist with routing tasks to ensure efficient delivery schedules.Track packages in transit to ensure they reach their destination on time.Take responsibility for export logistics, ensuring compliance with documentation, and monitoring shipping service performance.Maintain detailed and accurate records of shipment information.Operate forklifts as required, with in-house certification.Resolve customer and shipper inquiries or complaints in a professional and timely manner.Perform other duties as assigned.Training / Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Experience operating various hand tools.Experience using various types of machinery or equipment required for shipping purposes.Skills & Abilities:Proficient in reading a tape measure.Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines; works well independently.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.Demonstrates a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and high integrity.Excellent oral and written communication skills for liaising with customers, vendors, and team members.Basic understanding of shipping control procedures and logistics processes.Proficient in keyboarding and computer applications.Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.Ability to build professional relationships with external vendors, customers, and internal teams.Proficient in basic math and capable of performing calculations related to shipping and logistics.Strong problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving shipping or product-related issues.Adhere to all Image National Inc policies related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental Systems.Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.Working Conditions:May involve repetitive motions.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally, with assistance.Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of materials.Must be able to work in varying temperature conditions, including heat, humidity, and cold, due to the open-shop environment.Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods.Exposure to high noise levels, with hearing protection required for specific tasks.
