Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings is seeking a shipping/receiving professional to manage the flow of finished goods and materials. The successful candidate will work under the Warehouse Manager, handling orders, packing lists, and freight coordination in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

The role requires forklift experience and attention to detail, with opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Receive and ship finished goods and incoming materials under supervisor guidance.
• Answer questions about orders from customer service and respond to shipping or receiving inquiries.
• Print Picking Tickets for orders and generate packing, pallet lists with BOL to attach to orders.
• Coordinate freight calls, provide directions to truck drivers, and ASN freight or depart orders after pickup.
• Assist with quarterly inventory and cycle counts; audit inbound/outbound shipments.

SUMMARY

Working under the general supervision of the Warehouse Manager, following specific procedures, performs a variety of duties to accomplish the shipment of all finished goods and the receipt of all purchased materials.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Answer questions and changes about orders from customer service
• Respond to any and all e-mails pertaining to shipping or receiving questions or needs
• Print Picking Tickets for orders to be pulled for customers
• Input completed customer orders pulled and generate packing list and pallet list with BOL to be attached to order
• Call in freight to be pickup everyday
• Provide directions to truck drivers
• ASN freight or order depart orders after it has been picked up
• Pull hot orders as needed
• Audit inbound and outbound shipments
• Assist with cycle counts
• Double check all hot orders as needed
• Assist with quarterly inventory
• Comply with all Employee Conduct and Work Rules
• Comply with all Company policies
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Forklift experience required (stand-up forklift preferred.)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods and will occasionally be required to work on the warehouse floor, which may involve walking, standing, and other physical activities. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee primarily works in a professional office environment with a moderate noise level. The employee may occasionally be required to enter the warehouse environment, where exposure to moving equipment, varying temperatures, and other warehouse conditions may occur.
