Job summary

Progress Rail, a Caterpillar company, in Winston-Salem, NC is looking for a dedicated Material Handler to support inbound receiving, material expediting, and assembly readiness in a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled facility.

You will monitor the Andon/iPrep systems, verify delivery of parts both physically and in system records, communicate with Assembly to reach production goals, and perform 5S daily while assisting in other duties as assigned to sustain smooth operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Demonstrated understanding of inbound receiving.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication.
• Ability to build collaborative working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all MML’s in iPrep and work to resolve.

• Verify missing material notifications and resolve.
• Work with and inform Inbound Analyst of any discrepancies found.

• Respond to any issues at lineside station to help resolve in a timely manner.

• Comfortable working "hands-on" in a fast paced, high pressure environment;
• LN experience a significant plus;
• iPrep experience a significant plus.

Frequent need to physically move material. Must be able to team lift up to 55 lbs.; must be able to push and pull up to 125 lbs.
