Job summary

Thompson Tractor is seeking a Shipping Clerk to fulfill orders in a team-based or independent setting. You will select and pull correct parts, process orders accurately, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety and training compliance.

The role requires forklift operation certification, basic computer and data entry skills, and 1–3 years of shipping experience. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to support internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Select and pull correct parts from inventory in the appropriate quantities.
• Accurately process and complete parts orders with minimal supervision.
• Safely operate lift trucks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Respond professionally and effectively to customer needs and requests.
• Mentor and support Shipping Clerk Trainees as assigned.
• Deliver parts and packages to designated areas in a timely manner.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery of merchandise with common carriers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for fulfilling orders while working both independently and as part of a team.
