Job summary

Elite Comfort Solutions, a Leggett & Platt Company, is seeking a dedicated shipping associate to implement and maintain shipments of foam products to customers in a production environment.

This non-exempt, hourly role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and timely communication across teams, with responsibilities spanning from fabrications shipping to audits and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to adhere to safety procedures.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic computer skills and scanner proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the point of contact for Fabrication shipping.
• Manages Fabrication shipping production for the facility.
• Communicate in a timely fashion the status of orders to customer service, managers, supervisors, and leads.
• Ensure efficient operation of shipping products to customer while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Resolves all dock and shipping issues.
• Make recommendations by notifying supervisor to correct problems that could hinder or reduce output, or affect quality.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in production area.
• Practice proper safety techniques.
• Participate in the Continual Improvement Process for manufacturing and business processes.
• Waste reduction training and awareness.
• Conducting Internal Audits and assisting with external audits.
• To be sure customer’s expectations are met, and daily duties are performed in timely manner.
• Follow all procedures and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned and/or requested.

Job Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for the implementation and maintenance of shipments of foam products to customers.

Experience:

• Good mechanical aptitude.
