Job summary

Barnes Aerospace West Chester is seeking a Shipping Clerk to support daily shipments, packaging, and shipping documentation. You will work with the MRP system, maintain records, and coordinate with customers and suppliers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires basic computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively. Strong teamwork and organizational abilities are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of computer experience in a manufacturing setting, including MRP systems and MS Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to build effective relationships with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Maintains MRP system with daily shipment information and records.
• Checks, verifies and records information on planning, shipping and receiving documents.
• Orders packaging materials.
• Packages finished product and prepares shipping documents.
• Performs cycle counting and coordinates annual physical inventory.
• Delivers and picks up parts from customers and suppliers.
• Maintains a safe and clean work area at all times.
• May perform other duties as required.

Core Responsibilities:

Maintains Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system with daily shipments information

• Checks, verifies and records results of required information on planning, shipping and receiving documents including dimensional checks where appropriate. Communicates significant problems and/or deviation to responsible person with corrective action for concurrence and resolution.
• Orders packaging materials
• Package finished product and preparing shipping documents, etc. to support the flow in and out of the facility.
• Perform cycle counting and coordinating the annual Physical Inventory
• May perform other duties as required.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area at all times.
• Process all material returns from customers and suppliers.
• Deliver and pick-up parts from customers and suppliers.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment.

5+ years of computer experience in a manufacturing setting, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems , MS Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams and Adobe Acrobat

• Ability to build effective relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Ability to effectively communicate, build and utilize a team to solve problems and work in a team environment with empowered people making decisions and taking responsibility.
• Good mathematical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, customers and vendors.
• Possess high integrity and ethical standards.
• Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all levels employees, customers and vendors
• Schedule and organize time and tasks effectively.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
