Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Shipping Clerk for our Fairfield, NJ location. You will manage day-to-day shipping and receiving in a fast-paced warehouse, maintain logs, prepare packing lists and bills of lading, and ensure records and documents are accurate and compliant with company procedures.

You will track inventory movements in the Syteline ERP, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and use UPS WorldShip and FedEx software to process shipments.

Qualifications

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse shipping/receiving operations.
• Maintain shipping/receiving logs and organized files.
• Prepare packing lists, bills of lading and shipping docs.
• Verify items and lot numbers before shipment.
• Track inventory movements in Syteline ERP.
• Support cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Enter/update data on inventory, shipments and receipts in ERP.

Job description

The Shipping Clerk accurately processes customer orders for shipment and receives materials against purchase orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role organizes and operates the shipping and receiving area, maintains accurate inventory records in the ERP system, and ensures all shipments and receipts comply with company procedures and safety standards.

• Organize and oversee the day-to-day operation of the warehouse shipping and receiving area.
• Maintain detailed shipping and receiving logs and keep organized files of all shipping records.
• Prepare packing lists, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Close aftermarket and stock jobs and issue parts accordingly in coordination with inventory and production requirements.
• Ship customer orders by verifying that actual items and lot numbers match the order requirements before shipment.
• Track and record all inventory movements in the Syteline ERP system to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Perform and/or manage daily inventory cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory counts for raw materials, plastic parts, and equipment parts.
• Use ERP to enter, update, and review data related to inventory, shipments, and receipts.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload materials.
• Use shipping systems such as UPS WorldShip and FedEx software to process shipments and labels.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.50 - $26.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
