Job summary

Calico Cottage Confections, LLC is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our Warehouse team in New York. This role focuses on preparing outgoing shipments, organizing inventory, and keeping the warehouse clean while ensuring items are correctly lot-numbered and picked within SLA.

No experience is required; we provide training. The position is full-time, hourly, with benefits including PTO, health and retirement options, and on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time.
• Ability to use equipment and retrieve products from high shelf racking.
• Knowledge of SQF is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the shipment of products, materials, and supplies.
• Prepare customer orders for shipment; packaging, lifting, forklift operation, pallet setup.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness through organizing, cleaning, and sorting products; annual cleaning.
• Accurately pick and label items with correct lot numbers using FEFO.
• Replenishment of mix and ancillary pick bins.
• Label products during replenishment.
• Process USPS mail and packages.
• Load LTL trucks.
• Engage with vendors and drivers positively.
• Provide backup support for other warehouse areas.
• Perform daily cleaning to support sanitation operations.

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Shipping Clerk add to our Warehouse team. The primary responsibility for this role is to prepare outgoing shipments, organize warehouse inventory, maintain warehouse cleanliness, and communicate within the shipping team. Accuracy is vital in this role to ensure the right items are picked, the correct lot numbers are assigned, and the order is fulfilled within service level agreement time.

No Experience Necessary ! We will train for this role!

Responsibilities:

• Manage the shipment of products, materials, and supplies
• Prepare customer orders for shipment. This may require packaging, lifting of items, operation of a forklift, or setting up/wrapping of pallets
• Maintain the warehouse cleanliness through organizing, cleaning, and sorting ofproducts;including annual warehouse cleaning project
• Accurately pick and label items with the correct lot numbers utilizing FEFO (First Expired, First Out)
• Replenishment of mix and ancillary pick bins
• Labeling of products as needed during replenishment
• Process USPS mail and packages
• Loading of LTL trucks
• Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude
• Provide additional backup support for other areas within the warehouse
• Perform daily cleaning activities to support sanitation operator as needed
