Job summary

Four Hands, headquartered in Austin, Texas, is hiring a Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse operations team. You will serve as a key point of contact for drivers and warehouse personnel, ensuring accurate load preparation, shipping documentation, and timely outbound operations.

Shift Time: 9AM - 6PM, Monday to Friday. Responsibilities include coordinating driver check-in/out, preparing shipping paperwork (BOLs, manifests, packing lists), releasing orders in the WMS, verifying shipments, and

Qualifications

• Experience with shipping documents including bills of lading and manifests.
• 1+ year in shipping, logistics, or warehouse administration preferred.
• Proficient with WMS and business applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate driver check-in/out, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
• Prepare shipping paperwork: BOLs, manifests, packing lists, and delivery documents.
• Build and release customer orders in the WMS to support outbound shipping.
• Verify shipment accuracy by reviewing order details, quantities, and destinations.
• Communicate with warehouse teams, carriers, and supervisors to schedule loads.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and update system information.
• Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies promptly.
• Support inventory and shipping audits as required.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment per policies.

In This Role

• Coordinate driver check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all required documentation is complete andaccurate
• Prepare and process shipping paperwork, including bills of lading (BOLs), manifests, packing lists, and delivery documents
• Build and release customer orders in the warehouse management system to support outbound shipping operations
• Verify shipment accuracy by reviewing order details, quantities, and destination information
• Communicate with warehouse teams, carriers, and supervisors to ensure efficient load scheduling and execution
• Maintainaccurateshipping records and update system information as needed
• Investigate and resolve shipping discrepanciesin a timely manner
• Support inventory and shipping audits asrequired
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment while adhering to company policies and procedures

The Ideal Person

• 1+ year of experience in shipping,logistics, warehouse administration, or distribution center operations preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience working with shipping documents, including bills oflading, manifests, and carrier paperwork
• Strong computer skills, including experience with warehouse management systems, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other business applications
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communicationand customer service skills when interacting with drivers, carriers, and internal teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working in a warehouse setting and occasionally walking the floor to verify shipments and loads
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Steel-toed boots or shoes arerequiredduring work hours
