Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking a Shipping Associate to load and unload trailers, verify loads, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced facility in Salisbury, MD. The role requires operating material handling equipment and counting products for quality and accuracy.

Shifts run evenings/nights with overtime as needed; candidates should be comfortable working in a warm environment and able to communicate in English.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age or older.
• 1-3 years of shipping experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50 lbs, stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers; verify route loads and trailer reports.
• Count and check products for accuracy and quality; maintain records.
• Operate material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift) and report issues.
• Troubleshoot packing equipment, label machines, and palletizers.

• Great starting pay! $20.52/hour.
• Typical hours are 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM throughout most of the year (and 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM during the summer), with overtime as needed.
• The regular non-holiday workweek is Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for accurately loading and unloading trailers, verifying route load(s), trailer reports, and maintaining the shipping yard.
• Count and check products for accuracy and quality, maintain accurate records, report overages and shortages, & participate in "Cycle Counts".
• Operate material handling equipment; including pallet jack, forklift, etc.
• Troubleshoot issues with packing equipment, label machines, tapers, palletizers, etc.

What we need from you:

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• 1-3 Years of shipping experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50lbs, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time.
• Comfortable in a warm working environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work Nights, Weekends & Holidays.
